Marlis Butcher

Canadian Parks Explorer
Marlis Butcher is an environmental conservationist and a Fellow of the Royal Canadian Geographical Society and of The Explorers Club. In July 2019 Marlis became the first visitor to bag (visit) all 47 Canadian national parks, 1/3 of which have no road access. To share the park experience and encourage appreciation of these natural wonders.

Portraits
Rick will share with attendees his vast knowledge on shooting successful Portraits. “One of the greatest things about being a freelance photojournalist is the great variety of assignments I get to cover and the places I get to go. I could be covering the President one day, spending the following day with a noted scientist or professor (or both) and the following day over seas on a travel story. I truly have the best job in the world”.

Architecture
The presentation will provide viewers with techniques and tricks for capturing Architecture in a stunning impactful way. Settings, time of day, equipment best suited for Architecture will be discussed. Wayne will discuss his Journey from South Africa and the impact it has had on his photography, having to grow up in a strict regime always having to observe the rules. .

Zelinski’s presentation of “NIAGARA: Land Between Waters” brings exquisite focus to the environmental treasures of the Niagara Peninsula, and to the diverse communities that thrive within Niagara Region. The show includes photos and stories from his global travels, and a species-naming contest to win a signed copy of one of his books (valued at $50).
