Ethan Meleg

A freelance photographer from Ontario, Canada, Ethan Meleg is passionate about shooting outdoor adventures, lush ecosystems, landscapes, birds and wildlife. His photos have been published around the world by clients including National Geographic, Canadian Geographic, Forbes, Destination Canada, Lonely Planet, Popular Photography and many more. Ethan is a popular keynote speaker, workshop leader and magazine columnist. For over a decade, he wrote the humor column in each issue of Outdoor Photography Canada magazine.

Growing up near world famous birding hotspot Point Pelee National Park, Ethan often skipped school to watch songbirds during migration. By the time he was a teenager, he was a serious nature nerd and became addicted to nature photography after receiving a hand-me down camera for his 19th birthday. In between watching birds and taking photos, he completed a degree in Environment and Resource Studies at Trent University. Ethan began an amazing career with the national park system before also establishing himself as a professional photographer.

Ethan lives with his family on the Bruce Peninsula near Lion’s Head, Ontario. His greatest passion in life is exploring the natural world through his camera, whether on exciting trips or in his own backyard.

Ethan will be presenting Born To Be Wild and Just Winging throughout the conference weekend.
